Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, arrived in the U.K. in late April in preparation for the arrival of the royal baby. Ragland has always been hugely supportive of her daughter, and she looked incredibly proud throughout the royal wedding in May 2018 as she watched Meghan become the Duchess of Sussex.
And now, Ragland is apparently supporting her daughter and the new arrival in their home. Per the royal family on Twitter, "The Duchess’s mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with Their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage. Her Royal Highness and the baby are both doing well."
Royal commentator Omid Scobie confirmed the reaction on Twitter, writing: "Their healthy baby boy was born at 5:26am, with Harry by Meghan’s side for the birth. Doria (who is 'overjoyed') is with the couple at Frogmore Cottage. The Queen, Philip, Charles, Camilla, Earl Spencer, Lady Jane Fellows, Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer are all 'delighted.'"
When Ragland arrived in the U.K. in April 2018, The Sun reported: "Like all mums, Doria wants to be there for her daughter at this seismic event in her life." The source continued, "She wants to spend as much time as possible with her first grandchild and has come over for a sustained period of time. Meghan also wanted to show off her new house to her mum and the two have been enjoying spending time together."
While it's currently unclear whether Ragland was present for the birth of the royal baby, she appears to be supporting Meghan every step of the way as she becomes a mother.
